CMF Garden Limited which is the company which owns SOLAS Eco is set made up a number of 2 primary businesses

#1 The online business, www.TheGardenshop.ie which is Ireland’s Largest online Garden centre (established in 2011)

#2 The physical destination SOLAS Eco (established in 2021) set over 5 acres and encompasses over 50,000 sq. ft. of warehouse, restaurants, retail and venue spaces.

The business plan for SOLAS is based around focusing on core areas and seeking partners to work with on other aspects of the business. SOLAS has added on a number of very successful partner concessions over the last 3 years. Part of the attraction of SOLAS is that it is very much a destination venue with over 160 events hosted in 2024 and an even larger number planned for 2025.

FURNITURE Partner Sought

4,500-9,000 sq ft retail space available.

Ideally the candidate partner would have a great range of furniture at attractive consumer prices and have a strong Eco credential such as sustainable sourcing, preloved furniture or upcycled furniture. Strong customer focus and service are essential.

Option #1 Rental Model

Rental rate is set at an ‘All-In’ €8 per sq ft per year (which will include rates and utilities).

A strong focus on marketing (particularly through social media) must form part of any candidate’s business plan

Proof of concept in an existing location would be a huge advantage

Terms of lease rental agreement can be highly flexible from a minimum 3 month term, ability to expand if successful.

Option #2 Nominal Rent and Profit share

Rental rate is set at an ‘All-In’ €3.50 per sq ft per year (which will include rates and utilities).

Partner retailer to pay commission on sales based on

A 5% commission on sales where partner takes sales and payment directly

A 10% commission on sales where SOLAS Shop take sales and payment on behalf of partner

SOLAS is a Destination Garden Centre combining great design, Retail, Plants & Food & sustainable principles to promote a sustainable lifestyle. The Operation also contains www.TheGardenshop.ie which is Irelands Largest independent online Garden Supply website. We are based in Portarlington, Co. Laois

We are currently recruiting for the role of an Operations Manager

Operations Manager KEY ROLES:

• Day to Day operations across the garden centre and online business.
• Working with Café, Plants, Marketing, Warehouse supervisor to ensure efficient operations and great customer experience.
• Garden Centre Layout and central role in retail element and product placement and display.
• Reviewing and acting upon KPI for Year on Year sales, labour cost and stock management.
• Working closely with Owner on reporting and developing growth strategy

Operations Manager Experience and Skills

• 5-10 years experience in Operational management ideally in Garden centre / DIY store
• Ability to get things done
• Must be high organised and Motivated
• Must be ambitious and want to grow with the business.

Schedule:

• Day shift 9-6pm
• Monday to Sunday

Supplemental pay types:

• Performance bonus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €40K-€45K
